Novak Djokovic vs Malek Jaziri LIVE stream: How to watch Dubai Championships match online

Novak Djokovic leads a high-quality field in Dubai as he bids to win a fifth title at the Middle East tournament. The Serbian has not played since winning the Australian Open at the beginning of the month.

But the world No 1 hopes his victory in Melbourne will be the springboard to another successful season.

He said: “I’ve been lucky to win so many Australian Opens, that always started off my year in a great way, in a very positive manner, gave me a lot of confidence.

“I know that every time I would win Australian Open I would have a great season after that. Hopefully, that can be the case again.”

Djokovic’s winning streak started at the Davis Cup in Madrid last November and carried on through the New Year with success at the ATP Cup and Australian Open.

And he is keen to maintain that form this week, starting with his opening match with Jaziri.

He said: “I’m aware of the [winning] streak. I’m aware of the fact that I’m feeling great on the court. Of course, when you win that many matches, it translates to a high level of confidence.

“But I’m aware that it could easily be disturbed and lost. I try to approach every tournament and every match as a fresh start: continuation of the great streak, yes, from a confidence perspective, but fresh start game-wise.

“Jaziri’s a very nice guy, very talented. Obviously these kinds of match-ups, he doesn’t have much to lose. That’s why I take it very seriously. I will try to prepare for it in the best possible way.”
