Emma Raducanu’s 2022 season may not have lived up to expectation on the court, but that hasn’t stopped the star enjoying a lucrative time off it. The British No 1, who so sensationally burst onto the scene in September last year by winning the US Open, took home earnings of £22.69 million, despite her best result being a semi final appearance at the Korea Open.
But since her triumph at Flushing Meadows, where the 19-year-old became the first qualifier in history to win a Grand Slam tournament, Raducanu has reeled in a string of huge sponsorship deals. So much so, that she’s made more this year than world No 1 Iga Swiatek, despite the Pole winning both the French and US Open titles.
However, it’s not just Swiatek trailing in her wake, with the star’s net worth now considerably more than the £10 million reported by The Sun in June. England Test match captain Ben Stokes, the hero of his country’s 2019 ODI World Cup win, is worth just £9.5 million according to CAknowledge, despite being one of the most iconic figures in his sport.
Boxer Joe Joyce is also enjoying the most fruitful period of his professional career, having propelled himself into the world heavyweight title frame with his win over Joseph Parker. With his net worth reported at £3.44 million by Surprise Sports, a bout with either Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk would undoubtedly represent a huge financial boost.

But it’s not just current boxers Raducanu is worth more than. Despite earning millions in his career, and now running is own cannabis business, Mike Tyson has also admitted to blowing a huge amount of money with his net worth now said to be under £10 million according to Sportskeeda, less than he would have earned in a single fight in his heyday.
Furthermore, despite also cementing his status as a global celebrity and a television star, NBA icon Dennis Rodman – former teammate of Michael Jordan – is worth just a fraction of what Raducanu is, at £430,000, as reported by Celebrity Net Worth.

Great Britain’s Commonwealth and World heptathlon champion, Katrina Johnson-Thompson, is long established amongst the elite in her sport. However, her net worth is quoted at around £1.72 million by We Publish News, perhaps highlighting the disparity in financial power between tennis and athletics.
Despite her mixed form, Raducanu is likely to continue to boost her own net worth in 2023, despite her recent drop in the world rankings. Her first round exit at the recent US Open saw her drop down from 11 to 76.
