Boulter snubbed by Wimbledon organisers as she is dumped to Court 2

Golden girl Katie Boulter is snubbed by Wimbledon organisers for another Centre Court appearance as she is dumped to Court 2 for third round match against Harmony Tan… with furious fans left baffled at the decision

  • Katie Boulter has been dumped to Court 2 for her third round match
  • Boulter beat Karolina Pliskova on Centre Court in Wimbledon’s second round
  • Despite this, the British No.3 will take on Harmony Tan on Court 2 this weekend

Katie Boulter has been snubbed by Wimbledon schedulers as she is bumped from Centre Court to Court 2 for her third round match with Harmony Tan on Saturday.

The British No 3 produced the biggest win of her career by upsetting Wimbledon finalist Karolina Pliskova on Centre Court to reach the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time.

However, Boulter is now scheduled to take on Tan on Court 2 with Coco Gauff’s clash with Amanda Anisimova being scheduled as the opening match on Centre Court tomorrow.

Fans online have also bemoaned the competitions schedulers decision to have Nick Kyrgios’ clash with Stefanos Tsitsipas on Court 1, as well as World No.1 Iga Swiatek’s match with Alize Cornet.

Users on social media were left bemused, with one fan saying: ‘If I had a CC [Centre Court] ticket tomorrow I’d be demanding a refund. Kyrgios v Tsitsipas should be on centre & Boulter deserves higher billing than Gauff v Anisimova’.

Meanwhile another user wrote: ‘Gauff match on centre over Boulter is very strange one’.

Boulter was not the only topic of conversation with one fan also wondering: ‘How is Tsitsipas Kyrgios not on Centre? Who is doing this scheduling. Terrible.’

‘It has to be a joke that Tsitsipas-Kyrgios isn’t a Centre Court match at #Wimbledon. My god’, another claimed.

When the official Wimbledon Twitter account announced Saturday’s schedule for Court 1, one fan responded: ‘What a rubbish line up! I’d be at the bar mostly’.
