Race 6 No. 8: SNIPER LEGEND
He was super winning last time and will be ridden in a positive fashion again which suits this track. He’s staying at 1100m which is a good thing and handles the wet.
Race 7 No. 11: RUPERTAAR
She does rise in grade and take on the older horses which is a query but her debut performance was sensational. She’s got great speed and will use it from gate 10.
Race 4: 1, 2, 5
Race 5: 3, 4, 6, 8
Race 6: 5, 8
Race 7: 3, 4, 11
JOCKEY TO WATCH
Rachel King has good chances with War Cabinet, Duke Of Buckingham and Rupertaar and Tanzimat and Retrieval.

Race 6 No. 3: PREVISO
He won in top fashion two runs ago and wasn’t too bad in the Grafton Guineas last start. This is a significant drop back in class so look for a bounce back.
TRAINER TO WATCH
William Freedman has a good chance today with Loose Buttons while the likes of Baxter, Gigastar and Blue Tattoo have their claims.
INSIDE MAIL: GOSFORD
This is not the strongest Class 1 but it looks well set up for Game Theory, who should enjoy his first time on the Gosford track, where he can take up a position from an inside gate. Ready for a mile now but might not want a bog track with 60.5kg on his back. Sidereal has 62kg but should improve second-up after running third to Go Troppo, who won in town last Saturday. High Tribute just needs to hold her form to be in the finish but has to handle a tight track.
Bet: Game Theory to win.
Duke Of Buckingham has had a number of runs over a mile to toughen him up for the 2100m today and he looks like a horse that will grind it right out. Arabolini won at this track and distance last time in the same grade of race and he only carries an extra kilogram so he looks hard to hold out from a frontrunning position. Joe’s Joy beat home Arabolini at Kembla Grange four weeks ago and has been kept fresh for this. Arabolini obviously needed that run though. Ocean Go has been hitting the line well over 1600m of late and is the other danger.
Bet: Arabolini to win.
Matthew Vella is keen for Jason Collett to be positive again on Sniper Legend after they combined for a frontrunning win at Hawkesbury last start. He doesn’t need to lead but will be within striking distance at the turn as they head into the short straight. Stoical carries 4kg more and he will also likely be positive and will find this race a touch easier although his only run here was a disappointing one. Shadow Colour tends to always run into one better but does do well at this circuit. Cueillir won on debut thanks to a good ride and favours in the run but will also improve of that.
Bet: Sniper Legend to win.
Rupertaar showed the early speed of her father Winning Rupert to demolish them at Hawkesbury in a Maiden race on debut. When they win their maidens on debut with a leg in the air they usually go on with it, even if she’s taking on older horses today. Duchess led all the way to win here and it was deserved after a good campaign. It’s her sixth run this time in. Can she keep up the god form? Linguee deserves another chance after excuses in town last time and she’s third-up now and ready to bounce back.
Bet: Rupertaar to win.
INSIDE MAIL: MOREE
If the rain falls overnight Peter Sinclair says Liberty Head is a better chance of winning than Beacon who likes it dry. Liberty Head carries less weight and has a winning record over the stablemate. Dubai Tycoon drops back from city racing in Brisbane and has a good gate to take advantage of. If The Bald Eagle produces his best he’ll win this, but he hasn’t been able to get a win for a while. If you want to back Terrius you’ll have to ignore his fresh record and look to the fact he won in town on Brisbane earlier in the year. He first-up runs in the past haven’t been that bad though.
Bet: Quinella 3, 5.
Danspur doesn’t win out of turn but this isn’t the toughest race he’s been in and he doesn’t mind racing here. He just doesn’t want it too wet. Loose Buttons is in a new stable and has been running better than what the results ready on paper and if she gets a runs she’s got to be a hope for Will Freedman who has placed her well. The same can be said for Hardyo who hasn’t been far off the winner despite running last and sixth at his past two. Previso drops well back in grade from the Grafton Guineas and will beat most of these home.
Bet: Previso to win.
Rar Rar has drawn wide and will most likely be ridden cold then try and come over the top of them like she did last start. She can mix her form but at her best she’s a good chance. Crystal Billy has won three times at his home track and rises in grade but can be a force here. Pretext’s Dream also goes well here and got back into form with a win at the track last start. Prince Of Troy has had some near misses of late and a win at decent odds wouldn’t surprise.
Bet: Rar Rar to win.
If Loose Buttons doesn’t get a run in an earlier race than she gets her chance here from an ideal draw. Write On will be close to the leaders when they round the turn and is the highest rated horse in the race by a fair margin. Havelka will need luck from a wide draw but if she gets it she’s got to be a good hope based on previous from which isn’t winning form but stronger than what most of her rivals have experienced. Equties probably has more upside than many of his rivals but, again, hasn’t been given any favours with the barrier draw.
Bet: Havelka to win.
