The World Cup of Pundit quarter-finals saw some experienced title-winners come out on top.

Gary Neville, winner of 17 major titles at Manchester United including the 1999 treble, faced former team-mate Rio Ferdinand.

And it was a dominant win for the Sky Sports pundit, taking 70 per-cent of the vote against his BT Sport rival.

It was a much tighter affair in the Match of the Day derby, though.

The Premier League's all-time top scorer Alan Shearer faced colleague Ian Wright, who scored 324 club goals.

With just two per-cent deciding this Quarter-final, the Newcastle icon – who has been a pundit since 2006 – reached the Semi-finals.

It was a case of old and new broadcasters when Match of the Day host Gary Lineker faced BBCEuro 2020 colleague Micah Richards.

The former Manchester City defender got into punditry with Sky Sports in 2020 following his retirement at Aston Villa due to injury.

While fans enjoy his on-air antics, Lineker came out on top with 61 per-cent of the votes.

The semi-finals ended with a clash of Sky Sports colleagues Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher.

They have clashed previously on air, getting into heated arguments about United and Liverpool's best teams.

But it proved to be a dominant win for the Irishman as he left Carragher, a regular on Monday Night Football with Neville, with just 32 per cent of the votes.

Whatever happens in the semi finals, it is guaranteed to be Sky Sports vs Match of the Day.

United pals Neville and Keane will face off while Shearer takes on Lineker for a place in the final.

It's a real clash of punditry heavyweights in the semi-final stage, so remember to get your votes in and sign up for the Daily Star newsletter for news on the results and when the Final takes place.
