Liverpool need just five more wins to clinch their first ever Premier League title.
Manchester City edged past Leicester City on Saturday evening thanks to a Gabriel Jesus goal late on. Sergio Aguero missed a penalty earlier in the second half but luckily for the striker it didn't prove decisive.
The win changes nothing in Liverpool's minds, though, who knew heading into kick-off that 15 more points will hand them their first English league trophy in 30 years.
Liverpool have been prolific this season. After narrowly missing out last term Jurgen Klopp's side have left nothing to waste this time round. The Reds remain unbeaten this season, having won all but one of their 26 games. The single draw came against rivals United earlier in the season.
Should both Liverpool and City win their next five games then the Reds can be declared Champions at Anfield against Crystal Palace on March 21.
The date of this fixture could move back, however, if both clubs win their respective FA Cup fifth round ties against Chelsea and Sheffield Wednesday.
Of course if City drop any points in the next five games and Liverpool continue winning then they will clinch the title earlier.
