Tottenham are set to consider ‘formal offers’ for out-of-favour midfielder Dele Alli to leave the club this month, according to reports. Alli was hauled off by boss Antonio Conte in the 69th minute of Sunday’s FA Cup showdown against Morecambe, with his side trailing the minnows 1-0 at the time.

The 25-year-old’s performance in the game was disappointing – and he was eventually replaced by Harry Kane in an attempt to rescue the tie.

Spurs eventually ran out 3-1 winners thanks to a late comeback which saw Harry Winks, Lucas Moura and Kane all on the scoresheet, while a fourth-round tie against Brighton next month now awaits Conte’s side.

And, according to Sky Sports, the north London club are willing to listen to ‘formal offers’ for Alli this month.

Alli has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring two goals, but has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth under former boss’ Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo, and now the same is happening under Conte.

The midfielder’s form has plateaued in recent seasons after previously being regarded as one of the brightest prospects in English football.

With the World Cup just 10 months away, Alli will want to do all that he can to try and push his way into the Gareth Southgate’s squad for the tournament in Qatar.

The same outlet reported last month that Spurs rejected two approaches from French giants PSG to sign the 25-year-old on loan last summer.

Alli joined Spurs from MK Dons in 2015 in a deal worth £4.5million and has a contract which runs until 2024.
