Timo Werner has labelled Jurgen Klopp the best coach in the world as transfer links surrounding the striker and a move to Liverpool intensify.
The Germany forward, 23, has emerged as one of the brightest strikers in Europe and has already scored 27 goals in 33 appearances this season.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with the forward lately – and Klopp is a fan of his work.
Werner scored against Spurs in the Champions League on Wednesday and spoke after of his admiration for the Reds.
"Yes I know that Liverpool is the best team in the world at the moment," he told ViasportFotball.
"When you're linked with that team it makes you very proud but in case of that, it's a pleasure, but I know Liverpool have a lot of good players.
"I have to improve myself and to learn much more things to get on this level and to play there."
But now Werner is targeting the Liverpool boss, not only praising Klopp but insisting his style of play would be perfect for Liverpool.
"Jurgen Klopp is the best coach in the world," he told Sky Germany.
"There is a lot to suggest that my style of play would suit there (Liverpool)."
Werner has a £50million buyout clause in his contract and Liverpool could take advantage of the situation to add yet more fire power to their already attacking squad.
