Tom Holland has been working hard on behalf of Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January transfer window, but his prime target might be a little ambitious.
The Spider-Man actoris a lifelong Spurs fan, so has tried to use his fame and position to help his club.
The 25-year-old Londoner is currently promoting Spider-Man: No Way Home and therefore gets invites to all sorts of events.
One of the most recent saw him and co-star Zendaya invited to the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris on November 29.
As a big football fan, Holland was like a child in a sweet shop, getting to meet Paris Saint-Germain stars Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
Holland used the time with Mbappe to present him with a proposition: why not leave PSG for Spurs in the upcoming transfer window?
He and Zendaya did a video forLADbible in which they explained how it went.
“We went to the Ballon d’Or the other day,” Holland said. “We met Messi and it was crazy. It was crazy.
“And we met Mbappe. I actually asked Mbappe… I said ‘Hey, nice to meet you.’ I was really friendly, I said: ‘Mate, you have to come to Tottenham.’ And he just burst out laughing.”

The video then cuts to the unlikely duo together in their tuxedos on the red carpet and shows Mbappe’s reaction.
“No, impossible!” he says before laughing. “That’s impossible!”
Mbappe’s reaction is hardly surprising given his current circumstances, with a big-money transfer brewing in 2022.
The 22-year-old star is out of contract with PSG in the summer and looks poised to leave the club.
Real Madrid – not Spurs – is the most likely destination, with the Spanish giants making two very public attempts to sign him over the summer.
PSG reportedly rejected two bids, which reached £160million for his services, but with president Florentino Perez desperate to get his man, they will return to the subject in the New Year.
Real will also get a good close-up look at Mbappe’s talents in the Champions League after the two clubs were drawn against each other in the last 16 in Monday’s botched ceremony.
