Son Heung-min runs into ref and fans think Tottenham star wants free-kick

Tottenham Hostpur's star man Son Heung-min was spotted running into the referee during Spurs' clash with West Ham – and fans think he wanted a free-kick.

With Spurs 2-1 up, Son goes to receive a pass from a team-mate when he's cut off by Anthony Taylor. Son runs into the back of the referee before hitting the deck in spectacular fashion.

The South Korean looked around in disbelief as Taylor ushered him to get back onto his feet. And some football fans think Son was looking for a free kick from the man in the middle despite being the one to run into him.

One fan tweeted: "Son is one of the most unlikeable footballers in the league he spends more time on the floor rolling around than actually playing."

"Weird this because it almost looks like it was deliberate on Son’s part," another added. While a third tweeted: "That is embarrassing, Why does he go down dead soft? I am so baffled by that!"

A fourth said: "Absolutely embarrassing, can't believe what I'm watching!"
