Sex-mad Brazil playboy Adriano to get ‘farewell match’ six years after retiring

The streets will never forget the rise and fall of Adriano – and the Brazil legend is planning one final farewell appearance six years after his retirement.

The former goal machine established himself as one of world football's biggest superstars during a devastating spell with Inter Milan. Team-mate Javier Zanetti tipped Adriano to become the 'best player ever' amid seven seasons at the San Siro where he scored 74 goals.

However, the Brazil international's meteoric rise was met with a drastic decline, and the striker has since confessed the death of his father created a 'huge void' which led to depression and alcohol abuse. This downward spiral of a booze-fuelled party lifestyle led to Adriano sometimes turning up drunk to training, and a return to Brazil in 2007 for rehabilitation.

A move to Sao Paolo on loan followed, and the striker ended his career with spells at Flamengo, Roma and Miami United. Adriano enjoyed a trophy-laden career but remains a classic case of what might have been, and reports of a playboy lifestyle have since emerged about the retired star who recently celebrated his 40th birthday.

The Brazil and Inter Milan legend once 'spent £13k on 18 prostitutes' to cheer himself up after a last-minute offer from Le Havre fell through. Adriano recently made headlines for purging his social media feed after the end of a short-lived affair with a medical student half his age.

It has been six years since Adriano last played a competitive match, but he is preparing to lace up his boots for one final comeback appearance involving two clubs close to his heart. The Pro Evolution Soccer cult hero has planned for Inter Milan to take on Flamengo for a showdown at Brazil's legendary Maracana later this year.

Discussing these plans for a 'farewell' appearance, Adriano also expressed his hope that current Flamengo star Gabriel Barbosa will feature. 'Gabigol' has scored 116 times in 166 appearances for his current side, having struggled to impress in a four-year spell with Inter Milan.

Adriano told TNT Sports via ESPN: "It would be nice if I had the chance (to play together with Gabi) . I think at the end of the year there will be a farewell game. It will be Inter Milan x Flamengo at Maracanã, if all goes well. I hope he (Gabi) can be there for us to make this dream come true."
