Tottenham have reportedly approached Juventus in the hope they will take Tanguy Ndombele off their hands as part of a swap deal this summer. Spurs are keen to take Weston McKennie in the opposite direction.
Ndombele has struggled to get his Tottenham career going during two seasons in north London and the club are desperate to offload the player during the current transfer window.
The 24-year-old did not feature in any of his side’s pre-season games and was left out of their opening Premier League match of the season against Manchester City last Sunday.
There have been reports that Bayern Munich are interested in signing Ndombele – but Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici would apparently prefer to broker a swap deal with Juventus.
Paratici joined Spurs from the Italian giants this summer and remains on good terms with his former employer.
The 49-year-old was instrumental in taking USA international McKennie to Juventus last summer in an initial loan deal – and now he wants the player to move to Spurs.

According to TuttoSport, Paratici has already been in touch with his successor Federico Cherubini to discuss the player swap.
Juventus were keen to land Ndombele when he was still at Lyon and Spurs are hopeful that the Serie A team still view the midfielder as a viable option.
The Turin side are thought to now have doubts about whether they want to take the player to Italy, however, given his struggles in London.
Ndombele has apparently endured difficult relationships with all of his previous bosses at Spurs, and Juventus may want to steer well clear.

“What happened in the past I can’t even think about – I don’t mention out of respect,” Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo said when asked about Ndombele earlier this week.
“What I can tell you is that Tanguy is with us, he works, but we have to speak honestly and to take the best out of Tanguy – [it] has to come from himself.
“I don’t want to go much further than that but it has to come from himself. We already had a chance to talk but it must come from himself.”
Midfielder McKennie was named USA footballer of the year in 2020 and starred for Juventus last season as he scored five goals in 34 Serie A appearances.
The 22-year-old was a regular in the Champions League and went on to assist the opening goal as Juventus defeated Atalanta 2-1 to lift the Italy Cup in May.
He has made 24 appearances for the USA, notching seven goals, since making his debut in 2017.
