Alfredo Morelos might not be able to play a part in Rangers’ Europa League final with Eintracht Frankfurt, but he is still enjoying the big day.

The striker nicknamed ‘El Buffalo’ will miss the final due to a thigh problem that has kept him out of action since March.

While he’ll be supporting his team-mates from the stands, he decided to head out and about in the city to meet supporters to soak in the atmosphere ahead of the game.

He has taken to the streets of Seville though to soak up the atmosphere with Rangers fans

Morelos wandered the streets of Seville in a Rangers bucket hat as he took pictures with supporters in the Spanish city.

He was pictured in a crowd of fans who have made the trip over from Scotland and gave a thumbs up to those that adore him.

The Colombian scored four goals earlier in the competition but missed both legs of their quarter-final victory over Braga and semi-final triumph win against Red Bull Leipzig.

In total, he has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season, and it’s hoped he won’t be too big of a loss as Rangers look to win their first European trophy since 1972.

Kemar Roofe could be fit to start up front following an injury of his own, though Giovanni van Bronkhorst could opt for Joe Aribo as a false nine.

More than 100,000 Rangers fans and 50,000 Eintracht Frankfurt are expected to be in Seville tonight before the Europa Cup final kicks off.

The capacity of the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan, which is hosting the final, is just 42,700.

Rangers have wheeled out club icons Graeme Souness, Richard Gough, Ally McCoist and John Greig to appeal for calm and reason among fans travelling to Seville.

It came after crowd trouble marred their last final in 2008 in Manchester where Rangers lost 2-0 to Zenit St Petersburg.
