Mikel Arteta has left Arsenal fans furious over his decision to snub Nicolas Pepe from the starting XI against Aston Villa.
The Gunners will look to make it four consecutive wins when they take kick off at the Emirates Stadium.
And the Spaniard has named the same side that saw off Manchester United 1-0 on their own ground last week.
Bernd Leno is in goal, sitting behind a back-three of Rob Holding, Gabriel Magalhaes and Kieran Tierney.
Hector Bellerin and Bukayo Saka will run the wings while Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny link defence to attack.
Arsenal’s front line will be led by Alexandre Lacazette, with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the left and Willian on the right.
While Arteta has left his side unchanged in the Premier League, it marks a lot of changes from the 4-1 win over Molde in the Europa League.
One of the notable absences is Pepe, who scored against the Norwegian side to make it three goals and two assists for the 2020/21 campaign.
And the Gunners faithful expressed their disappointment that the Ivorian would not start against Aston Villa.
“I guess Pepe should stop scoring and assisting because Arteta keeps benching him for doing it,” one supporter said.
Another commented: “This Pepe treatment is disgraceful.”
While a third suggest who the 25-year-old should replace, with: “What has Willian done since Fulham to keep starting?”
The Brazilian, who arrived from London rivals Chelsea over the summer, has registered two assists this season – both coming in the 3-0 win over the Cottagers to open the campaign.
A fourth added: “When is Willian going to be dropped? Pepe deserves a run of games.”
A fifth held nothing back, with: “Pepe scored and assisted, what more do you want?”
With a sixth simply writing: “Time to drop Willian and start playing Pepe.”
But club legend Ray Parlour has suggested why Arteta has been reluctant to start the Ivorian this season.
