Martinez COULD move to Barcelona, according to his agent's brother

‘There is a big chance’: Lautaro Martinez COULD move to Barcelona, according to his agent’s brother… and Lionel Messi staying would help them beat Real Madrid to the forward

  • Lautaro Martinez continues to be heavily linked with a transfer to Barcelona
  • Martinez has scored 16 goals in just 31 appearances this season for Inter Milan
  • Barca are desperate to link the Argentine up with his compatriot Lionel Messi

Lautaro Martinez’s potential move to Barcelona has a ‘big chance’ of happening, according to the brother of one of his representatives.

The Argentine has become one of the most-sought after players on the planet after shining for Inter Milan this season – scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in just 31 appearances.

Barcelona have been in hot pursuit of 22-year-old Martinez for a while now and they view him as the perfect replacement for Luis Suarez.

And his agent’s brother has now fuelled speculation even further that he could be set for a summer move to Barcelona.

‘There is a big chance,’ Sergio Zarate said to Fox Sports Mexico in response to the suggestion that Martinez could seal a move to the Nou Camp.

Martinez continues to go from strength-to-strength under Antonio Conte at the San Siro, and he has also attracted interest from Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Barcelona want to link Martinez up with legendary compatriot Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp

But Zarate went on to claim that with Martinez’s legendary compatriot Lionel Messi still at the Nou Camp, it would help Barcelona’s cause in winning the race to his signature.

‘The person who decides is the player,’ Zarate said when it was put to him that Martinez could go to Madrid.

‘With Lionel Messi there, I think there is a bit more of a chance of him going to be with the greatest of all.’
