Lisandro Martinez has finally been unveiled as a Manchester United player after the central defender completed his £55million move from Ajax.
United fans reacting on social media shared their delight after Erik ten Hag secured his third summer signing of the transfer window.
Having already brought Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen to the club, Martinez becomes Ten Hag’s first big-money signing as the famous club seek to bounce back after a disastrous end to last season.

However, fans rejoiced on social media after Manchester United unveiled Martinez as their newest star signing on Wednesday.

However despite his arrival, many supporters refused to get carried away, insisting that more new signings are needed after United missed out on Champions League qualification last season.

Martinez started his career in his homeland of Argentina before joining Ajax in 2019. He quickly became a fan favourite helping the Dutch champions to two Eredevise league titles along with helping Argentina lift the Copa America in 2021.
The versatile defender was crowned Ajax’s player of the year last season and will rival Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane for a place in Manchester United’s starting defence.
