Manchester United’s new centre-forward Edinson Cavani took to Instagram to welcome fellow new signing Facundo Pellistri to the club after the Red Devils announced a deal to buy the 18-year-old.
Pellistri became United’s final signing of a hectic transfer deadline day.
The teenage winger had been playing for Penarol in Uruguay and had been looking impressive.
He reportedly earned interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City, but United won the race to sign him late on Monday.
Pellistri flew to Manchester on deadline day to undergo a medical, and will join up with the first-team squad after the international break.

He was United’s fifth signing of the day, following Alex Telles, Edinson Cavani, Willy Kambwala and Amad Traore through the doors at Old Trafford.
Traore will join the club in January after United agreed a deal with Atalanta worth up to £37million.
Pellistri represents a significantly cheaper move, with United paying roughly £9m for his services.
He became the second Uruguayan to join the club on deadline day after Cavani’s free transfer was confirmed.

Despite only being 18, Pellistri is expected to jump into the first-team squad after the international break and challenge for a place.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expressed that he believes the teen will be a star for years to come.
He said: Our scouts have followed Facundo for a long time and we believe that he will be a real talent for the long term.
“Whilst we understand it will take time for him to adapt to the English game, he is capable of having an impact with his pace and ability to beat his opponent.
“Facundo has the perfect platform at Manchester United to develop and he has all of the technical qualities and the right mentality required to become a top player here.
“We are all looking forward to working with him to fulfil his potential over the coming years.”
