Man Utd hero Paul Parker urges club to sell Pogba and ‘take Raiola with him’

Manchester United need to “move” Paul Pogba on at the earliest opportunity, according to Red Devils hero Paul Parker.

Pogba has been regularly linked with a move away from Old Trafford with Juventus and Real Madrid believed to be keen on the midfielder.

Pogba has played just eight games for Manchester United this season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealing earlier this week that the Frenchman is not close to returning.

Despite his lack of action on the pitch, the World Cup winner’s agent Mino Raiola has been regularly speaking about his client’s future.

And with so much speculation, Parker believes that United should just do all they can to get rid of the 26-year-old.

“The whole thing has to stop, it’s as simple as that,” Parker, speaking on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK, told Express Sport.

“They just need it to move on. It’s not about when he comes back, don’t even wait for that. Just move him on now and take his agent with him.

“His agent has said a lot of stuff, Pogba hasn’t said anything. There’s enough opportunities for him to come out and set the record straight.

“If he came out and said he wants to leave, a lot more respect would be had. Don’t let a non-football man do it for you.

“The fans are not fussed about him anymore, they’ve got no interest anymore. Even if he does come back, they are fed up of ifs and buts.

“If the real Paul Pogba was there, with Bruno Fernandes and Fred around as well, that would be a good combination. But it ain’t going to be.

“Manchester United have to move him on. They need positivity and that’s with players that want to be there.”

Parker is preparing to cycle from London to Amsterdam for the second year in a row in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

This year’s ride takes place from June 5-7 with places still up for grabs to also take the saddle.

Parker added: “Football to Amsterdam has been a huge success for Prostate Cancer UK, and it’s fantastic to see that it has raised over £2.5m so far.

“I’ll admit I was a little sceptical before the ride last year as I wasn’t much of a cyclist, but the support and camaraderie between all the riders guided me through – and I enjoyed the ride so much that I’ve signed up for 2020.
