Erik ten Hag is yet to take charge of a game at Manchester United, but some fans are already tipping the Dutchman to be "out in three months" due to a tough start.

The Premier League fixtures were revealed on Thursday morning, with all 20 teams learning their fate for the season ahead. United kick off their campaign with a home match against Brighton, but they have a difficult opening three months.

United host Liverpool on matchday three, and after a 9-0 aggregate scoreline in favour of the Reds last season, fans are already fearing the worst. And with Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham, Chelsea and West Ham all following before the turn of November, some fans are already suggesting Ten Hag could be out with a bad start.

When assessing United's start to the season, one fan said: "Genuinely don’t have a safe three points there." And another tempted fate as they suggested: "Ten hag out in three months."

One suggested their lack of summer business could leave them short against other 'big six' sides, as they said: "He's doomed to fail at United. He won't get success with what is happening in the transfer window."

One fan predicted: "We definitely not finishing ahead of Manchester City Liverpool and any other serious club." And one boldly claimed: "If he starts the likes of McTominay, Maguire, Elanga and Rashford are starting the first game of the season, I’m Ten Hag out. Shows he is a puppet and not serious about winning trophies."

Some were slightly more upbeat, as one suggested: "Hopefully he does well. But he does need backing from the board, which isn't happening right now unfortunately."

Another echoed those thoughts, as they added: "Bad, not because he is a bad manager, but because he isn't backed right now. Maybe something will change, let's see."

After United suffered their worst ever Premier League season last time out, surely things can't get worse. But even with Ten Hag just starting his journey at Old Trafford, the pressure will still be on.
