Manchester United could generate a handy £50million in the January transfer window, with interim manager Ralf Rangnick willing to offload wantaway fringe players. There will likely be activity from Old Trafford in January but more so outgoings rather than incomings.

According to the Mirror, Rangnick will start to shape his squad at the earliest possible opportunity.

Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial are expected to take centre stage in a mid-season exodus as Dean Henderson also eyes the exit door.

The attacking duo want to leave United next month due to frustrations over game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick and Rangnick.

And the 63-year-old won’t stand in their way if interested parties meet United’s valuations.

The Red Devils are looking for £20million to part ways with Lingard despite his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Such a fee could turn off suitors until next summer when he’ll be available as a free agent, and West Ham United have been touted as a potential destination.

Meanwhile, United have placed a £30m price tag on Martial, whose agent Philippe Lamboley, recently revealed his desire to depart.

It’s just shy of the £36m paid to AS Monaco for his services in 2016, but whether any club would be willing to pay that sum remains to be seen.
