Manchester United have reportedly agreed their second transfer of the summer with a move for Alex Telles close.

United signed Donny van de Beek earlier in the window but have been quiet since though Porto star Telles is set to head to Old Trafford.

The left-back helped Porto to the Portuguese league last season and is set to provide competition to Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams.

United had been linked with Real Madrid full-back Sergio Reguilon though he is set to join Tottenham with personal terms reportedly sorted with Telles.

Mohamed Bouhafsi of RMC Sport tweeted: “According to a source close to Porto, agreement reached between Alex #Such and Manchester United.

“Agreement on a 5-year contract. Manchester United will now discuss with Porto. PSG are also on the lookout. Paris is still considering this issue.”

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had spoken about trying to improve his squad before the October 5 deadline.

"Fans will always want the best possible team to watch, the best possible Man United team," Solskjaer said.

"And that's the passion we want and, of course, the history we have. We can look back 10 years or 20 years and you look back at the great players we have.

"And we want want to take a step forward and we can go into the new season with confidence, but we're looking to give the group a boost and we're working on it.
