Liverpool have been handed a major blow as it appears that Mohamed Salah is demanding wages way beyond what the Reds are willing to offer, but Jurgen Klopp may have the perfect replacement if the Egyptian decided to leave.
Mohamed Salah has established himself as one of the world’s best since joining Liverpool in 2017, and was the final addition to one of the best front three’s the Premier League has ever seen. However, Jurgen Klopp might have to look at replacing him before too long.
The Egyptian won the golden boot in each of his first two season’s at the club, and the winger helped Liverpool on their way to win their first ever Premier League title, as he wrote himself into the history books.
Salah is now 29, and has one more big contract in him while the Egyptian is at his peak, but with Liverpool not willing to offer the excessive wages that the rest of Europe’s elite are happy to pay, his future may lie elsewhere.
Klopp may have to search for a suitable replacement if Salah was to leave Anfield, but the German manager may already have a player in mind.

According to The Mirror, Salah wants a staggering £500k-a-week to extend his stay at Liverpool, which could completely disrupt the club’s tight wage structure.
Liverpool are left with a decision to make, as Salah’s contract expires in the summer of 2023 and Klopp is desperate to tie down the winger, who could leave for free in less than two years if he refuses to sign a new deal.
Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson and club captain Jordan Henderson have already committed their long-term futures to Liverpool this summer without pushing for the ambitious demands that Salah has opted for, and it is believed that the Egyptian will either have to lower his demands, or face leaving the club.
Liverpool will do all that they can to keep hold of Salah, but Leroy Sane would be an ideal replacement for Klopp, who has admired the German for years and even tried to sign him on two separate occasions.

It is likely that if Salah wasn’t to sign a new deal, Liverpool could cash-in on their star man, with Paris Saint Germain a potential destination as Kylian Mbappe looks set to join Real Madrid next summer, and the French side could easily meet the Egyptian’s wage demands.
Meanwhile, Sane is under pressure to live up to his potential at Bayern Munich after performing so well in the Premier League, and if he fails to turn it around at the Allianz Arena then the German may seek a move back to England.
Klopp has been a long-term admirer of Sane since he was in the Schalke academy, and the former Manchester City winger revealed to the Sun in 2018 that Klopp tried to sign him whilst at Borussia Dortmund, and at Liverpool.
Sane said: “Before I joined City, I was talking with them. Jurgen was calling me. He did a good job at Dortmund. I met him when he was there.
“He’s a good guy, a nice guy – honest. And he works well with Liverpool.”
Sane is under contract at Munich until 2025 and according to Transfermarkt, has a value of £54million, which is much less than the £90m that the same site values Salah at.
It could be third time lucky for Klopp should his side have to find a replacement, as Sane may revive his career under the German and flourish in the Premier League once more.
Sane’s former side City are inundated with attacking options, making a move to Liverpool much more rational for both parties.
