Liverpool fans think Jurgen Klopp could be planning a shock move for Tottenham ace Son Heung-min after the Reds manager and his forward Sadio Mane were seen embracing the South Korean on Sunday. Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw in north London as they finished the weekend three points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Son starred during the entertaining affair at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and scored the final goal of the game to help his side claim a share of the spoils.

Harry Kane had earlier given the hosts the lead, before Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota headed home for the Reds.

Son has proved to be a standout Premier League player season after season and was a real handful for the Liverpool defence, which was missing Virgil van Dijk.

His strike took his goal tally for the current campaign to eight in all competitions, while he has also provided three assists.

After the game, Klopp walked up to Son with a beaming smile as the pair exchanged a hug. And they were then seen laughing together on the pitch.

Mane was also seen wrapping his arms around the Tottenham man moments after both sides had searched for a late winner.

And following the encounter, fans took to Reddit to speculate about what was going on.

“So much love with Mane, wonder what’s the story there,” wrote one supporter, while another quipped: “Mane hug confirmed Son inbound.”

One fan described the Korean as “my favourite player that doesn’t play for Liverpool,” with another claiming he would be “unstoppable” under Klopp.

“Let’s rescue him from that dead end team,” read another comment, while someone else simply wrote: “I would love him on our team.”

Son arrived at Tottenham in 2015 after the club shelled out £22million to sign the player from Bayer Leverkusen.

And he has been a sensation since moving to the capital.

The 29-year-old has struck 115 goals and 67 assists in a Spurs shirt and has consistently been one of his team’s most dangerous players alongside Kane.

According to Transfermarkt, Son is now worth an astounding £76.5m, despite the fact he’ll be 30 next summer.

The pacy forward is contracted to Spurs until 2025, meaning it will take a big offer from Liverpool to persuade Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to allow the player to depart.

Levy notoriously blocked Kane’s move to Manchester City earlier this year and he is unlikely to be willing to lose one of his best players after spending big money to appoint Antonio Conte as boss last month.
