Liverpool fans demand Juventus stump up cash for Firmino after ‘£19m bid’

Liverpool fans have told Juventus they must stump up the cash if they want Roberto Firmino after a derisory offer of £19million.

The Italian club are desperate to bolster their strike force after Alvaro Morata returned to Atletico Madrid from his loan last season. It has left Juve with Dusan Vlahovic up front, as well as Moise Kean on loan from Everton.

And Firmino has been identified as a potential option by the Old Lady after entering the final year of his contract at Liverpool. The Brazilian is yet to receive an offer from the Reds, who have just signed Darwin Nunez for a club-record £85m.

It could mean the 30-year-old could be on his way out this summer if a suitable bid is received so the Reds avoid missing out on a fee and losing him on a free transfer next summer. However, that has yet to come after a £19m bid arrived from Juve, report Corriere dello Sport.

And fans are furious with one shocked by the bid by saying: "19 million??" And another tried to warn Juve off: "NO STAY AWAY FROM MY BOY."

A third was equally as stunned, saying: "19million???? Are they taking the p***." With another saying: "£19m no way. Would be surprised if he leaves now. Will leave us short big time."

This fan requested more money by tweeting: "No no no £35m+." And these two demanded even more: "50 + add ons" and "50m or nothing."

Whether Firmino does leave Liverpool this summer remains to be seen, as his contract saga continues to drag on. Whatever will happen, it will represent a massive summer at Anfield after dealing with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah's situations.

The trio have been largely the basis for Jurgen Klopp's success at Liverpool during his time at the club. While Mane has left for Bayern Munich, Salah has penned a new deal. Firmino's departure could have a big effect on the Reds considering the importance all three have brought to the club.

However, Liverpool's fine recruitment appears to have them covered with Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz proving huge successes while all eyes will be on Nunez after joining from Benfica this summer for a club-record deal.
