Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp should drop goalkeeper Alisson for the next few matches, according to Rangers legend Ally McCoist. Alisson has been guilty of a number of high-profile errors of late. The Brazil No 1 gifted Manchester City two goals in the 4-1 defeat at Anfield last weekend.
Alisson was then at fault for Leicester’s second goal in the 3-1 loss at the King Power on Saturday.
The 28-year-old has been widely regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in the world in recent seasons.
But McCoist thinks it is best for all concerned to take him out of the limelight and play Caoimhin Kelleher instead.
“The second goal… dear me; Alisson just has a complete brainstorm,” McCoist said on talkSPORT.

“I don’t know where he’s going or what he’s thinking.
“It’s a crazy thing to say but they, particularly the goalkeeper, just look absolutely shot to pieces of confidence.
“I never thought I would be saying it, but it might be the best thing for Klopp to just take him out for a few games and put the young lad Kelleher back in.
“The two mistakes he made against Man City were poor enough, and you can accept your keeper is going to make a mistake, but his one at Leicester… I’ve watched it three or four times and I’m saying to myself, ‘where is he going?’.

“I don’t understand what he’s thinking about.
“When your confidence is low like that, you don’t make good decisions.
“It might be time to leave him out for a few games and bring the young lad in.”
Liverpool are next in action on Tuesday when they travel to Budapest to face RB Leipzig in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
Ahead of the match against Leicester, Klopp backed Alisson to rediscover his top form.
“We had, of course, a little talk,” Klopp said.
“If it’s then about encouragement or whatever, I don’t know. It’s just a little talk and he was not happy that it happened, of course.
“But it’s very important to realise in a moment like this, goalkeepers in a long career, they make mistakes.
“For a goalkeeper of the quality of Alisson Becker, it’s pretty rare that he makes this kind of mistake and that he makes two of them in one game, that’s clear as well.
“But on top of that, goalkeepers are used to making mistakes. It means they have to stay in the game, they concede a goal and they know maybe earlier than all the rest of the world, ‘I should have saved it’.”
