The potential title-deciding fixtures between Liverpool and Manchester City will take place in October and April as the Cityzens aim for a third successive Premier League crown.
The top-flight giants threw up a pulsating title race during the 2021/22 season as Man City edged past the Reds by the narrowest of margins to claim their fourth Premier League trophy in five seasons. Pep Guardiola's side showed their credentials in dramatic circumstances on the final day of the campaign, coming back from 2-0 down to bag all three points and shatter Liverpool's quadruple dreams.
Not resting on their laurels, both managers have already wielded their spending in the transfer market to bring two of the hottest young forwards to the Premier League.
Man City splashed out a cool £51million to bag free-scoring Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland and the Reds responded with a potential club-record deal for Uruguayan hot-shot Darwin Nunez – both are expected to have a huge say in whether the 2022/23 trophy ribbons will turn red or blue.
In one of the most eagerly-awaited matches of the season, the two Premier League powerhouses meet at Anfield on 15th – where surprisingly Liverpool have won just one of the previous four meetings on home soil.

Last season the sides played out a four-goal thriller as City battled back from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits to claim a well-earned point on the road. It was also the same scoreline in the reverse fixture six months later and fans will be hoping for yet another Premier League classic when Liverpool and Man City meet at the Etihad on April 1st.
Only one of Haaland and Nunez can claim the Premier League trophy in their debut campaign. The Anfield and Etihad stages are now set for a title-winning performance.
