Jose Mourinho has reportedly been snubbed for a second time by Real Madrid starlet Miguel Gutierrez.
It’s believed Mourinho wanted to sign the then-16-year-old while he was in charge at Manchester United in 2017.
Now at Tottenham, Gutierrez is still of interest to Mourinho though the Portuguese boss will reportedly not get his man.
Gutierrez is part of the Real Madrid academy set-up and Spanish outlet DefensaCentral claim that he will stay in the capital.
It’s reported that Gutierrez feels like a move to the Los Blancos first team is close, even though Juventus and Inter Milan are also keen.
DefensaCentral add that Gutierrez, 19, fits Zinedine Zidane’s plans at Real Madrid with president Florentino Perez not willing to lose on his best young stars.
Marca add that defender Gutierrez had rejected the chance to head to Old Trafford as he didn’t want to disrupt his family.
It’s reported that one of his parents would have had to move with him to Manchester had he joined the Premier League giants.
Spain's Under-17 coach David Gordo has high hopes for Gutierrez, telling AS: "If they give him minutes and he plays games, he will be a top left-back.
"He has the characteristics of the perfect left-back for Real Madrid. He is a Primera-level player, for sure."
Gutierrez is yet to make his senior debut for Real, and has spent the season with the renowned Castilla side.
