Manchester City are less than a month away from beginning their Premier League title defence but have uncharacteristically been inactive in the summer transfer window so far. However, with international tournaments concluded and pre-season now underway, Pep Guardiola will expect to receive his targets.
City have been linked with an array of top-class players this summer, including Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.
The Citizens are reportedly ready to pay over £100million to seal a deal for Grealish.
He’s not the only big-money player the club are eyeing, though, in what could be a monumental transfer window.
Express Sport has taken a look at how Guardiola could set up his side if City sign secure Grealish and three other targets’ services before the end of August.

Ederson has a crucial part of Guardiola’s success at the Etihad Stadium, and his prominent role will continue next season.
Defence: Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, John Stones, Nuno Mendes
Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo will battle it out for the right-back spot, giving Guardiola’s two excellent options.
Premier League Player of the Year Ruben Dias and John Stones will also likely continue their formidable defensive partnership.
At left, City have been linked with 19-year-old Sporting Lisbon star Nuno Mendes.
The Portugal international is valued at £47m (€55m) and could become the next in a long line of pricey defenders Guardiola’s signed at City.

Midfield: Kalvin Phillips, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne
In midfield, Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips garnered plenty of interest this summer through his pivotal role in England’s Euro 2020 run.
City have been credited with an interest in Grealish’s international teammate, and he’d act as the holding midfielder.
Alongside him, Ilkay Gundogan will look to build on a sensational 2020/21 season next to back-to-back PFA Player of the Year Kevin De Bruyne.
Attack: Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Harry Kane
To start an all-English, all-star attack, Phil Foden will likely play even more minutes for City this season.
The 21-year-old has become an essential part of Guardiola’s plans and is seen as the successor to David Silva.
On the left, Grealish would slot in and compete for the spot with arguably England’s best player at Euro 2020, Raheem Sterling.
Up front, England captain Harry Kane will replace Sergio Aguero if he gets what he desires this summer.
Kane wants to leave Tottenham for City, and the club have already tabled a bid worth £150m, including players.
It’s unlikely we’ve heard the last of this story before the start of the new campaign.
