Manchester United winger Alexis Sanchez isn’t having a great loan spell at Inter Milan this season and the Italian club have set two conditions for possibly making the move a permanent one at the end of this campaign.
According to Italian publication CalcioMercato, only a dramatic increase in the player’s performance or a substantial reduction in United’s asking price, would see the Chilean swap Old Trafford for the San Siro in the summer.
Sanchez has only scored one goal and provided three assists in 13 appearances for the club in all competitions this season.
The 31-year-old was sidelined for over three months with an ankle injury and has only made one 90-minute performance for Inter this season.
In January United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted that the winger would return to the club in the summer and prove his doubters wrong.

However, the report claims that Solskjaer is only trying to keep the player’s price high as Inter have yet to make a move to sign the winger.
Sanchez was loaned out to the Nerazzurri after having endured a dreadful spell while playing for United.
He arrived at the club from Arsenal in a swap deal that saw midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan go in the other direction.

While at Arsenal, Sanchez scored 80 goals and provided 45 assists in 166 appearances for the north London club.
However, he would come nowhere near reproducing this form for United, despite being given a huge contract reportedly worth more than £400,000-a-week.
Sanchez only managed to score five goals and provide nine assists in 45 appearances for the Red Devils before eventually being shipped out to Italy.
However, while the loan deal did not include an option to buy, Inter were not able to afford all of his wages and are only contributing £175,000-a-week.
Sanchez’s contract with United lasts until 2022, which leaves United with few options for an attacker who is struggling to rediscover his form.

The former Barcelona winger has only played a total of 493 minutes for Inter this season and the club are unlikely to make a move for the player unless he improves with his performances on the pitch and United offer a significant discount regarding a transfer fee.
However, Inter and Chile legend Ivan Zamorano thinks Sanchez can still be an important player for the Nerazzurri and wants to see his compatriot stay at the Italian club.
“He has a contract with Manchester United but we will see where he wants to continue and feels happy,” he told Chilean radio station Radio Cooperativa.
“I would like [him] to stay in Milan, in June he would have the opportunity to play with another Chilean, who will most likely come to this club.
“I am optimistic about the possibility to see two Chileans at Inter.”
