Inter Milan hero Christian Vieri is fondly remembered for his scoring – both on and off the pitch.

The former Serie A star celebrates his 49th birthday on Tuesday, and is now a father-of-two after settling down with Costanza Caracciolo two years ago. His current partner is a famous Italian showgirl and TV presenter.

Vieri was a regular goalscorer during stints with Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Lazio, but is best remembered for his time at the San Siro in the early 2000s. The former striker also found the headlines for his efforts away from football too.

Vieri was engaged to model and actress Elisabetta Canalis, who went on to date George Clooney after their split, and the Italian striker has also been linked to Jazzma Kendrick and Melissa Satta, among others.

Italy's joint all-time leading World Cup goalscorer has not been shy about his previous conquests, and once made a rather startling admission about his ladies-man reputation. He once told Spanish outlet Marca: "Since the age of 18, there have been very few days of abstinence."

He added: "Many stories including women have been attributed to me over the years. I must be honest, there are only a few made up ones. Almost everything you have read in the press is true."

Vieri became the first £30million player when he transferred from Lazio to Inter in 1999, and would go on to score 236 goals across his career while earning the respective golden boot awards in both Italy and Spain. The now 49-year-old, who occasionally works as a pundit for beIN Sports, has clearly enjoyed retirement in Miami.

The former Italy international affectionately known as 'Bobo' regularly offers fans snapshots of his life via social media. Vieri has also found a passion for footvolley, and even created his own annual charity tournament called the Bobo Summer Cup.

Former Serie A stars Hernan Crespo, Alessio Tacchinardi and Luca Toni are among those to have taken part in previous editions. Vieri has also joined forces with former domestic rival Paolo Maldini to create clothing label Sweet Years, although both ex-footballers are no longer part of the company.

Vieri first met his future wife Costanza, who his 16 years his junior, in 2017. The pair welcomed their first daughter named Stella a year later, before the arrival of Isabel in 2020.
