  • Inter Milan went seven points clear at the top of Serie A with 3-0 win over Genoa
  • Romelu Lukaku scored 17th goal of season after 32 seconds to give Inter lead
  • Matteo Darmian put Inter well in control after rifling home from 12 yards
  • Alexis Sanchez became the third former Manchester United player to score

Inter Milan went seven points clear at the top of Serie A with a resounding 3-0 victory over Genoa.

It took Inter just 32 seconds to take the lead as in-form striker Romelu Lukaku picked up the ball on the half-way line, drove foward and smartly finished with his right foot to take him ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Serie A scoring charts on 18 goals.

The former Manchester United man then teed up another former Red Devil as he laid it on a plate for Matteo Darmian to fire home in the 69th minute. If two wasn’t enough, Alexis Sanchez then got in on the act with a close-range header after Lukaku forced a save from Matthia Perin.

The result leaves league leaders Inter seven points ahead of second-placed AC Milan, who play AS Roma later on Sunday, and 10 points clear of Juventus in third.
