Gary Lineker "terrified" he’ll accidentally watch porn too on Match of the Day

Gary Lineker has joked he's "always terrified" he'll accidentally watch porn too following the latest controversy amongst the UK Government.

It was alleged this week that Conservative MP Neil Parish had been looking at adult content while in the House of Commons. After his identity was revealed on Friday (April 29), he claimed he may have opened it on his phone by mistake.

Lineker, who jumps at almost every opportunity to poke fun on social media, responded to the news with a tweet which read: "Always terrified that I’ll accidentally watch porn during @BBCMOTD…. even if it’s just the highlights."

The closest the Match of the Day host has come to an X-rated scandal was when he hosted the Premier League programme in his pants on the first weekend of the 2016/17 season.

The Leicester City fan had vowed to do that just if his beloved club won the league, as they did the campaign prior, and stuck to his promise in hilarious fashion.

Who do you think should one day succeed Gary Lineker as the presenter of Match of the Day? Let us know in the comments section.

Parish, meanwhile, has referred himself for investigation amid the claims by two female colleagues, who were sitting near him during the alleged incident. Despite being suspended from the Conservative parliamentary party, he hasn't stepped down from his role as an MP for Tiverton and Honiton.

Lineker himself hasn't been controversy-free this week, though. He was called out by Matt Le Tissier for "digging him out" repeatedly online.

Le Tissier, who has attracted huge criticism for his controversial views, told The Times: "He is meant to be the nice bloke, the woke Gary Lineker, nice and inclusive but he is the one going out of his way trying to dig me out."
