A furious Jose Mourinho mocked Norwegian side Bodo Glimt to his shocked Roma players after they suffered a humiliating defeat in the Europa Conference League. Mourinho took over at the Stadio Olimpico ahead of this season, with the Portuguese making a largely positive start to life in the Italian capital.
Roma won six successive matches in all competitions to kick off his tenure, though recent results have been much more mixed.
Despite that, Mourinho had guided his side to a top-four spot in Serie A in the opening stages of the season.
They had also made a solid start to their Europa Conference League campaign, easing through the qualifying stages before winning both of their opening two group games.
But their season came to a stuttering halt in their third game in the new competition when the travelled to Norwegian champions Bodo Glimt.
Mourinho named a much-changed line-up at the Aspmyra Stadion as he looked to rest several of his star players.

That decision back-fired on the Roma boss though, as he suffered his worst-ever defeat in his managerial career.
Bodo Glimt went ahead after just eight minutes through Erik Botheim, with Patrick Berg doubling their lead with a curling effort 20 minutes in.
Carles Perez pulled a goal back for the visitors eight minutes later, but Roma fell apart after the break.
Bortheim tapped in from close range for his second goal before Ola Solbakken scored a fine solo goal to 4-1.

Matters quickly went from bad to worse though, with Solbakken scoring his second goal after Amahl Pellegrino had added a fifth.
Mourinho hammered his players in his post-match press conference, but it appears that he was just as harsh about his team’s opponents.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, the Roma boss mocked his players by making a cheap dig at the standard of Norwegian football.
The report states that he told his players: “Among you there are people who would not even play here in Norway, or even in Serie B.”
The defeat means they are now second in Group C of the Conference League, with Bodo Glimt one point ahead of them.
There is no rest for Mourinho though, with Roma facing a tough test against league leaders Napoli on Sunday evening.
Corriere Dello Sport report that the Roma boss immediately began to ‘devote himself’ to preparations for that game.
Roma are nine points behind Napoli in the Serie A table, with Mourinho’s reign threatening to fall apart if he cannot quickly recover from the hammering in Norway.
