Arsenal legend Ian Wright has been spotted visiting and sharing a pint with UFC icon Conor McGregor in his pub in Dublin.

The Black Forge Inn is one of three pubs that McGregor owns and has become a regular haunt of celebrities in recent months. American comedian Kevin Hart and rap legend Coolio are just two of the people to have partied at McGregor's establishment.

Wright is currently visiting the Republic of Ireland as professional football takes its annual summer break. While current stars are gearing up for a gruelling pre-season of fitness work, Wright is getting himself ready to return to punditry action in a rather different way.

The former striker visited the Black Forge Inn, which is near McGregor's home town of Crumlin. Wright shared a video of his night in McGregor's pub, which appeared to be particularly lively.

The video shows him dancing along to musician Aoife Kelly who is playing a violin and comes over to his table. McGregor is then shown coming over to greet Wright, with the two sharing a hug before sitting down.

The UFC star had a conversation with Wright over a pint of Guinness, before the duo posed for photos with the famous Irish drink. They then pose for more pictures with one of McGregor's UFC belts.

Wright was visiting the Black Forge just months after it survived a petrol bomb attack, but it has bounced back well. He will return to England in time for the start of the Women's European Championships, which get underway next week, with Wright one of the pundits on BBC Sport for the tournament.

McGregor meanwhile has hinted that he is gearing up for a sensational return to sport, nearly a year after he broke his leg in a defeat to Dustin Poirier. He shared a picture of his famous clash with Floyd Mayweather on Thursday night with the caption "I accept".
