Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre has revealed that he is already planning to promote 15-year-old striker Youssoufa Moukoko to his first team.
Moukoko made his debut for Dortmund's Under-17s at the age of 12 and has developed a reputation as one of the most promising youngsters in Germany after a series of impressive displays.
After netting 50 times for the Bundesliga club's Under-17 side last season, he has continued his sensational form with 31 goals in just 18 league games in the current Under-19 Bundesliga campaign.
Although the striker only turned 15 in November, Favre confirmed that he wants to start integrating the teenager into his senior squad as soon as possible.
"We have a plan with him, but I can't say exactly when he'll be with us," the Dortmund boss said ahead of Saturday's clash with Freiburg (via Bundesliga.com ).
"Maybe in March, but we still have to wait a few things."
Under current DFL rules, Moukoko cannot be considered for selection to Dortmund's senior team until he turns 16 on November 20.
Even then, he would only be allowed to feature in Bundesliga matches if he was granted special permission, with players under the age of 17 unable to feature in the league.
However, there is currently a proposal to allow players to represent their teams at a younger age which will be put to a vote by all 36 clubs in Germany's first and second tiers in March.
According to BILD , Dortmund are one of the leading supporters of the proposed rule change and already boast a young team.
