Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner shared heartbreaking post weeks before baby death

Georgina Rodriguez described her long-term partner Cristiano Ronaldo as the best dad on the planet to her Instagram followers weeks before the tragic loss of their baby boy.

The couple announced the tragic death of their baby son after Georgina gave birth to a twin boy and twin girl this week, having announced that she was expecting back in October. She also revealed their genders in December.

Last month, in a gushing message about his role as a father alongside five photos of her partner with their children, Georgina had written the emotional caption: "Every day by your side is happy and special.

"We love you indefinitely. Thank you so much to the best dad in the world."

The couple confirmed back in December that they had been expecting both a boy and girl in a gender-reveal video that featured their older children.

The now heart-breaking clip showed the four youngsters popping balloons which were filled with both blue and pink confetti.

Georgina, who is from Argentina, has helped raise Ronaldo's other children, Cristiano Jr, 11, as well as twins Mateo and Eva, four since meeting the footballer back in 2016.

Georgina had carried four-year-old daughter Alana before falling pregnant with the twins last year.

The tragic statement shared by the couple on Monday (April 18) reads: "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.

"Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.

"We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.

"Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you."
