Manchester United have been given a boost ahead of their Europa League second leg against Club Brugge at Old Trafford on Thursday after the Belgians’ danger man Emmanuel Dennis was ruled out of the tie.

Dennis was man of the match in the first leg in Bruges last week and stunned United with an early goal before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side came back to draw 1-1.

The Nigerian was injured in Sunday’s win over Charleroi along with captain Ruud Vormer who will also miss out.

Club Brugge will be without Emmanuel Dennis against Manchester United this week

Eder Balanta is suspended following his booking in the first leg while Senegal winger Krepin Diatta is again doubtful.

The tie is in the balance going into the return clash this week after Anthony Martial’s equaliser cancelled out Dennis’ opener in Belgium.

Dennis has scored nine goals in 31 appearances in all competitions for the Jupiler Pro League leaders.
