Carlos Tevez played a crucial role in Manchester United’s 2007-08 season, in which they won the Premier League and Champions League.
The forward bagged 19 goals across 48 games across all competitions as Sir Alex Ferguson’s side beat Chelsea to lift their third Champions League trophy.
He formed part of a devastating attack alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, before lining up alongside Dimitar Berbatov at Old Trafford the next year.
But his time at United came to a bitter end when he swapped the red half of Manchester for the blue as he signed for City for free.
United agreed to pay the £25million option to make his two-year loan permanent, but the player decided his future was at the Etihad instead.
Despite becoming public enemy number one at United, the forward still seems to have good memories of his time there.
He was recently asked to pick a starting XI made up of players he’s played alongside, and there were plenty of Red Devils stars there.
He replied: "If I retired and had to put together a farewell match, my team would be…
"Gianluigi Buffon, Hugo Ibarra, Rio Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, Patrice Evra [in defence].
“Paul Scholes, Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba [in midfield].
"Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney [in attack].
"I’d stay on the bench.”
Notably absent are any players from Manchester City or West Ham, though he included seven past and present United stars.
