Humphrey, who will continue to host BT Sport's Champions League output, replied: "You’re going to be amazing Lynsey. So delighted for you. Please just let me back for the odd game [winking face with tongue emoji] [love heart emoji]."

Hipgrave, 42, landed a role with Al Jazeera in 2010 which kickstarted her broadcasting career. She's gone on to work for the likes of ESPN, Eurosport and talkSPORT.
