Blackpool 2-1 Lincoln City: Neil Critchley’s side win promotion back to the Championship after six years out thanks to brace from Kenny Dougall

  • Dougall went on to score a second goal to secure Blackpool victory on Sunday

Blackpool have won promotion back to the Championship after beating Lincoln City 2-1 on Sunday afternoon. 

It was Kenny Dougall who provided the brace to see Blackpool secure a place in the Championship after six years out.  

The result comes as a disappointment to Lincoln City – who have lost both of their previous Football League play-off finals, losing 5-2 against Bournemouth in 2003 and 2-0 against Southend United in 2005.
