The defender in question was sent off for his attempt to dispossess the opposition by trying to knock the ball away.
Makedonija Gjorce Petrov took a quick throw-in with a player released down the left wing.
But as he slowed down Stefan Kostov threw the ball at his feet and knocked the ball away.
The referee halted the encounter and showed a red card to Akademija Pandev’s Kostov for his actions.
Makedonija Gjorce Petrov went on to win the match 1-0 thanks to a stoppage-time winner.
