Atletico Madrid star poses for selfie with fan while lining up to take a corner

Atletico Madrid star Koke was seen taking a selfie with a fan while stepping up to take a corner during a friendly this week.

Atleti squared off with third-tier outfit CD Numancia, when, with Atleti cruising 4-0, Koke looked to whip a ball in from a corner. But as the Spaniard stepped back, he gracefully accepted a selfie with an onlooking fan.

Fans were positioned just off the side of the pitch, and with no stewards to be seen, the fan was easily able to take a couple of steps to meet his idol. Koke smiled as he took the snap, before proceeding to whip the ball in.

Ahead of kick-off the Atleti fans displayed a banner in protest of their club's reported interest in Cristiano Ronaldo, it read: "CR7, not welcome!"

Ronaldo has been keen to force a move away from Manchester United after the Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League last season. And his stance has remained the same despite showdown talks with Erik ten Hag.

Atleti had emerged as his most likely destination, but the club has since distanced themselves from the move.

Atleti ran out 4-0 on the evening, with goals from Thomas Lemar, Angel Correa, Geoffrey Kondogbia, and Matheus Cunha.

The Spanish side have a couple of friendlies against Juventus and United ahead of the new La Liga season that kicks off next month.
