Dani Ceballos has furiously denied reports of a training ground altercation with Arsenal team-mate David Luiz.
According to The Athletic, Ceballos was struck in the face by Luiz at the end of a practice match at Arsenal’s London Colney training complex last Friday.
Mikel Arteta held the session for those who were not away with their national teams during the latest international break, but it is said to have ended on an extremely sour note.
The report states that Luiz took exception to a late challenge from Ceballos in the session and reacted furiously when Arteta blew the final whistle.
He is understood to have hit Ceballos in the face, scratching the midfielder enough for him to draw blood.
Luiz is also said to have struck his team-mate on the nose and sent him tumbling to the ground at one point, although when he returned to his feet and went to confront the Brazilian they were split up by team-mates and staff.
However, Ceballos has shut down any talk of a training ground bust-up with Luiz on social media.
The Spaniard quote tweeted The Athletic journalist David Ornstein’s post containing the article and simply wrote: “FAKE”.
Ceballos was involved in a dispute with another of his Arsenal team-mates earlier this season.
During the warm-up before their opening day victory away at Fulham in September, TV cameras picked up the Real Madrid man squaring up to striker Eddie Nketiah before being separated by team-mates.
Nevertheless, the pair soon solved their differences and were all smiles again by full time at Craven Cottage.

The Athletic claim Luiz and Ceballos spent three days away from Arsenal training before returning on Tuesday.
The duo apologised to their colleagues before being left alone to discuss their fallout, which reportedly ended on positive terms.
Training is believed to have ensued normally from that point onwards with no further problems.
