Arsenal outcast Hector Bellerin is set for a Transfer Deadline Day switch to Barcelona with Mikel Arteta prepared to rip up his contract and force through an 11th-hour move.
The marauding right-back, 27, has not featured for the Gunners since appearing as a substitute in a 1-0 win over London rivals Chelsea, replacing Bukayo Saka in the 66th minute at Stamford Bridge before sustaining an injury and having to be substituted back off the field.
Unable to force his way into Arteta's first-team plans following the £17million arrival of Takehiro Tomiyasu, Bellerin completed a Deadline Day move to La Liga outfit Real Betis, aiding Los Verdiblancos to their first major honour in 17 years by defeating Valencia on penalties in the Copa Del Rey final.

But despite his glittering success overseas, the three-time FA Cup winner has been deemed surplus to requirements by Arteta and is yet to feature in a matchday squad for the Gunners this season.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Bellerin is set for a return to Spain in the final hours of the summer window, penning a one-year deal with Barcelona.

The 27-year-old is still contracted to the north Londoners having entered the final 12 months of his deal at the Emirates Stadium, however, Arsenal will not receive a transfer fee for the impending switch.
The Gunners have agreed to mutually terminate Bellerin's contract, meaning he will join La Blaugrana on a free transfer and will not be entitled to any further payments from Arsenal.
The Spaniard will now undergo a medical in Catalunya ahead of the 11pm deadline and, providing there are no last-minute hitches, the deal is expected to be announced in the coming hours.
