Arsenal have fans have demanded that Mikel Arteta starts Gabriel Martinelli after the club shared a clip of the Brazilian forward scoring a screamer in training.
The Gunners tweeted a video of Martinelli controlling the ball on the left of the penalty before rolling it past his marker onto his favoured right foot, before unleashing a stunning shot past the keeper towards the far corner.
The tweet had Arsenal fans calling for Arteta to give the nod to the 19-year-old, who has made just three starts in the Premier League all season.
Martinelli has not been in the manager's starting line-up in the league since the 0-0 draw against Manchester United at the end of January, with Willian, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Emile Smith Rowe among the players who have started on the left wing since then.
The Gunners could certainly have done with the teenager's finishing ability during their 3-0 thrashing by Liverpool on Saturday as they returned to action following the international break.
And fans joked that they had forgotten what a goal looked like as they responded to the clip of Martinelli's training-ground finish on Twitter.
"What's that thing called that Martinelli is doing? Not sure what he's doing," tweeted one supporter, while another replied: "Not sure… don't see many of the other players doing it very often."
Another fan wrote, "How about playing him in games?" while another said: "I keep seeing Martinelli Prop but never see him starting. Stop teasing us Admin."
And there were plenty more supporters wanting Martinelli in the team, with one saying: "Can we start him now and see this finishing in a real game? Stop teasing us."
Another replied with tongue firmly in cheek, posting: "No, let's him keep working until next year."
And fans also warned that Martinelli could leave if he doesn't start getting game time, with one tweeting: "Arsenal is going to lose this golden talent because of Arteta… If he doesn't get playing time he is surely going to request for a move."
Martinelli was sidelined by a knee injury early in the season, and has been used only sparingly since returning to fitness.
After the game against United, he was left on the bench for the next six Premier League games before being left out completely against Tottenham, but has made cameo appearances in the two games since against West Ham and Liverpool.
