Arsenal teenager Bukayo Saka came off the bench to help the Gunners secure a 3-2 win over Everton on Sunday and in the process keep the club’s hopes of a top-four finish alive. However, the 18-year-old is in the final 18 months of his current contract and fans want to see the club secure the youngster’s long-term future rather than risk losing him.
Saka has been used as an emergency left-back on several occasions this season because of the defensive injury crisis at the club but he was named as a substitute yesterday following the return of Sead Kolasinac.
However, Saka didn’t have to wait long to feature in the clash as after 18 minutes Kolasinac suffered a shoulder injury.
At this point in the game Arsenal were already a goal down after Toffees striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored with an overhead kick after just 49 seconds.
Saka was involved in getting the Gunners back into the game, when his excellent cross was volleyed into the back of the net by Eddie Nketiah in the 27th minute.
