Arsenal are set to have a horrifying October with Mikel Arteta's side facing Tottenham, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

The Gunners' nightmare month will start off with a tricky North London derby against their hated neighbours Spurs. The Gunners were battered 3-0 in the two sides' most recent encounter, and it squashed all hopes of a Champions League return for Arteta's side.

The following week, on the 8th, Arsenal will welcome Liverpool to the Emirates. Jurgen Klopp's men will have already had a tricky start to the campaign with clashes against Chelsea, Manchester United, and a Merseyside derby all coming before October.

During the midweek round on the 15th, Arsenal will then face a tricky trip up north to face Leeds United.

However, Arteta's side may have one eye on the horizon as they face City a couple of days later at the Emirates. The Gunners gave City a fright on New Year's Day last season, but they were ultimately unable to overcome their opposition.

The reverse fixture, in North London, saw Arteta's man battered 5-0 by his former employers.

With the fixtures coming thick and fast before the World Cup break, Arsenal still have two more clashes to navigate before November.

The Gunners finish off the month with an away trip to the South Coast to take on Southampton before they welcome Nottingham Forest to North London.
