Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes his fellow French forward Anthony Martial has all the ingredients needed to become a world class player.
But he has urged the 24-year-old to improve his killer instinct in front of goal and be more clinical.
After a frustrating spell which saw him score just once in six appearances at the start of the year Martial has now found the back of the net in each of his last three games, including a stunning individual effort in the 3-0 win over Watford on Sunday.
Martial has occasionally received criticism for a perceived poor attitude, but Saha thinks he deserves more credit.
"Martial has been criticised for his attitude but sometimes people misinterpret things and that's the problem with our industry," Saha told Manchester Evening News.
"I have been a victim of that sometimes, they pick on one thing and think you have a nonchalant attitude and then you start getting criticism as to why you're not producing on a regular basis.
"The same criticism can be said of Paul Pogba. It's something you have to accept in the industry."
Saha also thinks Martial can still get better, and has urged him to focus on what he can improve in his game.
He added: "Martial is a talented player and has everything needed to be world class. He can score goals and build play. He now has to be focused on things that will definitely work.
