Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been told to forget about his West Ham nightmare and move on after the Brazilian shared a sarcastic post on his Instagram account.

Alisson was furious with the Hammers' first goal in Liverpool's 3-2 loss, claiming he was fouled by Angelo Ogbonna.

But referee Craig Pawson disagreed and allowed the goal to stand – a stance that was backed by VAR.

And it seems as though the Reds star is still bitter over the incident a week later after taking a blatant swipe at Pawson in a social media post.

Alisson shared a picture of him catching the ball in Brazil's 1-0 win over Colombia with the sarcastic caption: 'When you can use your hands, the job it's not so hard,' followed by a thumbs-up and a thinking emoji.

But the Liverpool star was urged to get over the ordeal by fans on Twitter after sharing his post to over 7 million followers on his Instagram account.

"Still got West ham on the brain," one fan tweeted. "He had a nightmare, needs to just forget about it and move on".

Another tweeted: "Wasn't a foul. He messed up. Fine, mistakes happen…move on".

Although Alisson wanted the benefit of the doubt from Pawson, many felt as though the stopper was at fault for the goal which sparked a huge win for West Ham.

There were also question marks over West Ham's over two goals, with Alisson not enjoying one of his best afternoons since arriving in the Premier League back in 2018.

Pablo Fornals' second goal for the Hammers seemed to go through Alisson before the 29-year-old was also caught out at another corner as Kurt Zouma nodded home the winning goal.

The result saw West Ham leapfrog the Reds in the table.

After the match, it was revealed that West Ham players had been planning to target the Reds goalkeeper.

Hammers striker Michail Antonio confirmed after the match that the tactic was pre-planned – and worked a treat.

Antonio admitted after the game: "Yeah the whole plan was to stick it on the goalkeeper and just challenge basically. We saw that they’ve struggled with the ball coming in and all we have to do is keep the ball away from Virgil and it worked out for us today."
