It didn't take long for an NFL player to start recruiting defensive end J.J. Watt to their team.
Just hours after it was announced that the Houston Texans were parting ways with the three-time NFL defensive player of the year, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs was sending a message via social media to Watt , the five-time Pro Bowler and now-former Houston Texans star.
"@JJWatt just hear me out real quick big fella," tweeted Diggs, who led the NFL in receptions (127) and yards (1,535) in his first season with Buffalo after an offseason trade from the Minnesota Vikings.

The Bills are one of a few possible landing spots for Watt, who will turn 32 next month and likely desires to go play for a title contender in 2021. Buffalo fits that bill, after coming within a game of Super Bowl 55.

Watt registered five sacks during the 2020 season — his lowest total in a season in which he played 16 games. However, he did have 17 quarterback hits, which is more than the 11 registered by the Bills' team leader last season, Jerry Hughes.
